Welter, the premier literary journal for The University of Baltimore, will host its first online reading on Monday, Dec. 7, at 6 p.m. ET (U.S. and Canada). Now celebrating 55 years of publishing up and coming writers and visual artists from across the country, Welter entered the world of online-plus-print last year. With the 2021 edition now in its final stages of pre-production, the publication's staff is hosting an evening of readings for selected authors in the purely online space. The event is free and open to the public. Sign-up details are listed below.
Readers (in order of appearance) are: Jordan Robinson (a member of UB's MFA in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts program), Leslie Pietrzyk, Caitie Young, Will Richardson, Stephen Finlay, Melissa Goodnight, Shannon Evans, Stephen Scott Whitaker, William Hayward, Daisy Bassen, Caitie Young and Mackinzie Brink.
Welter publishes creative works of fiction, poetry, memoir, essays, and visual art, gathered from writers and artists everywhere. It is published annually.
