Identification Cards / UB Drivers License Information

The University of Baltimore Department of Public Safety issues identification cards to students, faculty, regular employees and Contingent II staff at no cost. Our ID card station is located in room 116A of the Law Center, immediately behind the security desk. The hours of operation are:

               Monday through Friday
                     9 a.m. to 12 Noon
                 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. 
                       (Shift Change)
                 3:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
                 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.


Documents required to obtain an ID card are:

  • Your 7 digit PeopleSoft number and a photo ID OR;
  • Class schedule and a photo ID

Identification numbers assigned by the PeopleSoft Management System, are seven (7) digits, and may be obtained from the following sources:

  1. Faculty, Staff, and Contingent II Employees can obtain their identification number from their timesheet or the yellow user ID letter they received from Human Resources on their first day of employment
  2. Students can obtain their identification number from their admission letter, Web site (MyUB) or the Records office.
  3. Adjuncts may obtain their identification number by contacting their Deans office.

Class schedules can be obtained at the Records Office - AC 126.


Replacement Cards - Lost or Stolen Cards 

There is a $15 charge for replacement identification cards. Stolen cards will be replaced free of charge after a copy of a police report reporting the theft is provided to Public Safety.
