The University of Baltimore will accept up to 60 lower level (100- and 200- level courses) from a community college. We will accept up to 70 lower level courses from a four-year institution or a combination of commuity college and four-year institutional credit. In some situtations, the University will accept up to 66 credits from a community college. This opportunity is avaialble through specific articulation agreements or partnership opportunities. Students should consult an academic advisor at their community college or call the Office of Transfer Admission for additional information.

UB will accept transfer courses with a grade of "C" or better. Students attending a Maryland community college can transfer designated general education courses with a grade of "D."

  • 3 credits of Fine Arts
  • 3 credits of Information or Computer Literacy

Additional upper-level courses must be completed at the University.

ARTSYS

The University of Baltimore participates in the ARTSYS program, an online database for transfer students in the state of Maryland. By using the program, students can:

  • see which courses to take at their community college,
  • see how those courses will transfer,
  • produce their own unofficial transcript with course evaluations,
  • search for an academic major, and
  • find additional information regarding scholarships, financial aid, and transferring.

Students are encouraged to use the system with the help of an academic counselor, either at the community college or at the University of Baltimore.
