Board of Regents' University System of Maryland Staff Awards

The Office of Human Resources is accepting nominations for the Board of Regents’ (BOR) University System of Maryland Staff Awards, the highest honor bestowed by the BOR for achievements of exempt and non-exempt employees from USM institutions, who have demonstrated excellence in one of the following: 

  1. Exceptional contribution to the institution and/or unit to which the person belongs
  2. Outstanding service to students in an academic or residential environment
  3. Extraordinary public service to the university or the greater community.

There are two awards given in each category – one exempt and one non-exempt – for a total of 6 awards.  Winners receive $1000. 

Who Can Nominate?

You may nominate a fellow employee or yourself for the award.  Nominations should be sent through e-mail to the Office of Human Resources with the subject line "BOR Award Nominations." The completed nomination packet must be submitted to HR by January 13, 2010.
