R.A.D. Program (Rape, Aggression, Defense)

 

The Women’s Self Defense Course (R A D – Rape, Aggression, Defense) will be offered by the Department of Public Safety in 90 minute sessions (9 sessions total).  This is a dynamic no-nonsense, practical and empowering course for women of all ages, shapes and sizes.  Enrollment is open to all UB female faculty, staff and students.  Class size is limited to 20 persons.  There will be a $15.00 cost to cover the comprehensive reference manual.  For any non-affiliated UB females registering, the RAD course will be $55.00 ($15.00 cost to cover the comprehensive reference manual + $40.00 course fee).  Attendance of all sessions is strongly encouraged and a certificate of completion will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

SESSION SCHEDULE
All classes are held in the AC Gym (3rd floor) from 3:30 - 5:00pm.  It is suggested that you wear comfortable (gym type) clothes and shoes for each session.

If participant response is larger than anticipated, a second class will be formed later in the Fall semester.
