Fall 2009 Schedule of Prerequisite Reviews
The following reviews are designed to prepare students for specific UB courses in which certain mathematical skills are required. Participate in these free workshops as a refresher and start your semester off on the right foot! Please RSVP through UB's Web calendar to ensure that you get a seat and a handout.
Two-Part Mini-Statistics Review
for Master of Public Administration Students

Algebra Review
for MATH 321

Pre-Algebra Review
for DVMA 93
Saturday, Aug. 29, 9am-1pm (or 2pm if you stay for "Practice with Pizza")
Instructor: Yoosef Khadem
If you’re registering for UB’s Introduction to Algebra (DVMA 93) this fall, prepare to do your best by attending a special pre-algebra review. If your Accuplacer placement score was 50 or below, research on student course performance indicates it may be particularly important for you to attend. We also recommend attending if Accuplacer generated an Arithmetic score for you and that score was below 79.
Immediately after the review, students are invited to stick around for "Practice with Pizza," an hour devoted to building skills and confidence through practice during which students will meet and work with ARC math tutors while enjoying free pizza!

If you’re registering for UB’s Intermediate Algebra (DVMA 95) this fall, prepare to do your best by attending a special introductory algebra review. If your Accuplacer algebra placement score was between 83 and 95, it will be especially useful. However, anyone placing into DVMA 95 is welcome.
