Located on the fifth floor of the Student Center, the Student Center Gallery is indicative of UB's transformation into a metropolitan institution noted for its varied and vital cultural offerings as well as its academic leadership and many career opportunities. This dedicated space, between the Performing Arts Theater and the Multipurpose Room, offers a large, specially designed exhibition wall. The gallery is complemented by a number of works of art throughout the building, giving much of the facility the feel of an exhibition hall.
The Student Center Gallery is open Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and Sundays from noon until 4 p.m.
Our current exhibit features a collection of works from the legendary Globe Poster Co. of Baltimore. Started in 1929, Globe became the pre-eminent printer of most of the touring R&B, blues, and rock and roll acts of the 1950s, '60s and '70s, producing some of the most stunning examples of 20th century American pop art in the process. Using the original letterpresses, inks, and 24 weight card stock, the posters seen in this exhibit faithfully replicate the original works. The collection will be on display through Dec. 16.

The Student Center Gallery opened to the public in August 2006.
