This 111-credit combined program offers students the opportunity to obtain the J.D. and M.P.A. by completing courses over a three- to four-year period. Students take 18 fewer credits than would be required were the two degrees obtained independently.
The University of Baltimore’s Master of Public Administration program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA).
Applicants for the combined program must meet the admissions standards of for both the J.D. and M.P.A. programs.
Law School

- register for the Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS) transcript evaluation and letter of recommendation services

Students must successfully complete 52 credits of required law courses, in addition to fulfilling the upper-level writing and upper-level advocacy requirements. They must also successfully complete 30 credits of required M.P.A. courses.
Under this program, students begin work on their master’s degree the summer preceding the beginning of their law school career. Most, if not all, of the work toward the master’s degree is completed during the various summer semesters but in no event may a student take courses within the master’s program during the fall and spring semesters of the first year of law school.
