About us
The purpose of this Society shall be to:
1. Assist in the professional, educational, and social development of college students interested in finance, banking, and investment;
2. Provide a networking ground for UB students interested in these fields; and
3. Encourage interaction between business executives, finance professionals, UB alumni, faculty, students and the communities
Vision:
- To advocate for and contribute to the University of Baltimore.
- To unite University of Baltimore Undergraduate, Graduate and Law programs with a shared passion in finance, investment, and banking.
- To promote meaningful, lasting and mutually beneficial relationships between students, alumnus, faculty, and finance professionals.
- To bridge the gap between academia and the various finance professions through events, communication, collaboration, knowledge, and a combined zeal and advocacy for the University of Baltimore.
- To empower members and UB students to become caring, competent, responsible citizens who value education as a lifelong process and utilize their finance related skills for the benefit of the University and community.
We believe that the UB Finance Society is a crucial component of successful learning for members and UB students. We provide an environment in which members can learn from each other as well as a medium to practice their organization and leadership skills.
We provide unique opportunities to network with members of the professional finance community and UB alumni, staffs, and faculty. These contacts facilitate student access to sound advice on career opportunities, professional development, resume improvement, and interviewing skills. Operated with an environment in which members receives up to date information about the finance industry and a medium to practice their organizational and leadership skills.
The UB Finance Society is constantly striving to build such an organization that will provide our members, today and in the future, an experience that will be embedded in their thoughts as they continue on with their professional careers.
