Chanté first came to the University of Baltimore in Fall 2002 as a transfer student from the Community College of Baltimore Country with a degree in Liberal Arts. At UB, she majored in Interdisciplinary Studies and became involved with leadership organizations such as the Student Events Board, the Black Student Union and others before leaving in 2004. She returned in Fall 2006 as an Administrative Assistant for the Division of Student Affairs.
Chanté feels that being both a student and a UB staff person has given her an understanding of how to better serve the students and the university. Because of her experiences working with Student Affairs at UB, she plans to complete her degree in IDIS within a few years and pursue a career within student services.
