Waivers

Please note: New No Void Policy Became Effective Summer 2003. The Bursar's Office will no longer cancel your schedule for non-payment. If you decide not to attend you must formally withdraw by submitting a drop form to the Records Office.

Waivers

Students with tuition waivers, including:

  • UMS employees, their spouses and dependents
  • senior citizens
  • graduate assistants
  • Maryland National Guard

must have their waiver forms submitted and their total fee payment in the Bursar's Office by the established payment date.

Effective Spring 2007 all waivers, Tuition Remission, Grad Assistant, Maryland and Senior Waivers, will not be applied to the student account until after the last day to drop without a W that is posted on the academic calendar each term.

Third Party Billing

Students will need to bring or fax their third party billing authorization form to the Bursar's Office, in order for us to bill their employer/organization, by the payment due date for the term. Please note, that until the payment is received your account will be treated as your account until which time the payment is received in full. This means if the payment is not paid by the date service indicators are being placed, your account will be subject to a service indicator which will prevent future registration, transcripts and/or degree release, and your account will be subject to all collection activity including being forwarded to the Maryland Central Collection Unit.

Please contact  the Bursar's Office, at 410.837.4848 for further information.
