University Conflict Management Service
About Us
The University Conflict Management Service (UCMS) provides conflict management services to UB faculty, staff and students.
What can we do?
UCMS can help with almost any kind of conflict that affects UB faculty, staff and students, including:
- Conflicts with other community members (peers, roommates, co-workers, professors, etc.)
- Conflicts within or between student organizations or business units
- Difficult conversations
- Meetings involving challenging decisions or topics
How do we do it?
To help you address conflict more constructively, we provide the following types of services:
- Mediation
- Dialogue facilitation
- Facilitation
- Conflict coaching
- Training
- Research and evaluation
Important things about our services:
- Participation is voluntary
- Staff members are impartial
- Communications are confidential
- Staff members are experienced
