October 27, 2009: UBAC constituents unanimously approve the proposed changes to the By-laws.
Aug. 6, 2009: UB Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance Harry Schuckel responded to the Administrative Council's memo regarding possible furloughs. Read the response (pdf).
Aug. 5, 2009: The Administrative Council solicited feedback from constituents regarding last year's furlough process and recommendations for improvement, should furlough days be instituted for FY 2010. These recommendations were compiled in a memo sent to UB President Robert L. Bogomolny, Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance Harry Schuckel, chair of the University Council and representatives of the Office of Human Resources. Read the memo (pdf).
Aug. 3, 2009: The Department of Legislative Services delivered an analysis on the impact of the recent state budget reductions to the General Assembly leadership. The last illustration, Table 5, indicates that the first budget cut did little to impact the state's structural deficit.
Jan. 21, 2009: On Jan. 21, University System of Maryland Chancellor William E. Kirwan released a message to the USM community regarding Gov. Martin O’Malley’s proposed FY 2010 budget’s impact on higher education.
June 23, 2008: The Administrative Council released its 2008 Annual Report. Read the report (pdf).
March 3, 2008: On the recommendation of the Office of Planning, the Administrative Council wrote a response to the proposed draft of "Enhancing the Vision: The University of Baltimore Strategic Plan, 2008-12." Read the response (pdf).
Jan. 23, 2008: University System of Maryland Chancellor William E. Kirwan addresses Gov. Martin O'Malley's proposed capital budget and the Higher Education Investment Fund, a dedicated funding stream for higher education, passed last fall during the Maryland General Assembly's special session.
