Biography index: A cumulative index to biographical material in books and magazines (1970 to Nov. 1995). New York: H.W. Wilson. (XZ 5301 .B5)

Each volume and quarterly supplement contain an index to professions and occupations to assist the searcher in identifying unnamed subjects.

Personal name index to the New York Times, 1975-1984 (1986). . New York: New York Times Co. (XZ 5301 .F28)

Names split by the Times subject index into multiple categories are here brought together in one easy listing. The earlier edition on INDEX SHELVES covers 1851 to 1974.

The Biography Resource Center (BioRC) is a comprehensive database of biographical information on over 320,000 people from throughout history, around the world, and across all disciplines and subject areas. It combines more than 400,000 biographies from over 800 volumes.
