    Provides access to a variety of information sources many of which include information on books (book reviews, chapters, etc.). Off-campus users must log on with a library barcode to see the full list of resources available. Many books are also available electonically.

Get a Book

Check to see if the book in in the USMAI catalog.

  • If the Book is in the USMAI Catalog
    • And if the book is owned UB:
      • You can come into the library to view it. You can also borrow all books that circulate.
      • If the book has been checked out, you can place a "Hold/Recall" on it by clicking on the button.
    • If the book is not owned by UB
      • You can request that a book from another USM library be sent to UB for you to check out by clicking on the button on the availability screen. For detailed instructions, see our guide.
      • You may check the status of your request by going to the catalog and logging into your account.
      • You can also go to other USM libraries and check items out with your UB ID and library barcode.
  • If the Book is not in the USMAI Catalog

Get an Article (Journal Finder)

Check to see if Langsdale owns the journal in which an article appeared.

If you know the name of the journal or magazine, you can check to see if Langsdale has a copy of it:

You can also search our holdings to see if we have access to a journal
  • Search the Langsdale Catalog to see if we own a hard copy
  • You can also
  • Search our list of E-Journals to see if Langsdale provides electronic access.
  • If Langsdale owns the item:
    • In print: You can come into Langsdale Library to view the journal and/or make copies
    • Electronically: You can download the article from any computer with internet access and print it.
  • If Langsdale does not own the item:
    • You can request the article through the Interlibrary Loan Express (ILL)
    • When your article is ready, you will receive an email letting you know that you can log into ILL Express to download your article. Some articles are delivered within a few days.
