While staff will process requests as rapidly as circumstances permit,
the greater the lead time with which items are submitted the better. Particularly
at the start of the semester and other peak demand times, it may take
five business days or more to develop fully a course reserve page. Reserves
staff will work with each faculty member to create a feasible schedule
for the requests.
Please click here to have a book or journal
article in Langsdale's collection placed on reserve. Fill in the appropriate
form for each item you wish placed on reserve. Please provide the Circulation
Department with a copy of your syllabus. If the Library does not own an
item which you wish to have placed on reserve, please bring your personal
copy to the Library's Circulation Desk and complete the form for processing.
Copies of the form are also available from your departmental secretary.
If you have any other questions about reserves, please click

For students:
Please click here to view
course reserve lists. The first time you access reserves from off-campus,
click on "view course lists" in the preceding sentence. On the
next screen, click on "ERes at UB" under "More Options"
on the screen's left. That will bring up a screen which lists the plug-ins
needed to view various document formats (e.g. html, word, pdf). Click
on the plug-in you need and follow the instructions to load it on your
C: drive. The format(s) for items on reserve for your course appear on
its reserve list. Questions? Click
here to send message.
Note: If your course is listed here and the document titles on the list are underlined you can view the document online. If your course is listed but a document title has the phrase "hard copy reserves" next to it, these items are on reserve at Langsdale's circulation desk.
