Seema Iyer, associate director of The University of Baltimore's Jacob France Institute and research associate professor in the Merrick School of Business, will discuss the Baltimore Community Change Project, Vital Signs, and the University's upcoming Baltimore Data Week on WYPR's On the Record with Sheilah Kast on Thursday, July 14 starting at 9:30 a.m. WYPR is available at 88.1 FM across much of Maryland.
All of these efforts are part of the Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance, a long-standing organization that uses data to understand issues that effect Baltimore in a number of ways. BNIA is affiliated with UBalt's Jacob France Institute, and Prof. Iyer serves as its director.
Among BNIA's projects is Baltimore Data Week, an annual gathering of data experts and specialists who share ideas for applying data to tackle questions about the city. This year's Baltimore Data Week is taking place July 18-22.
