Responding to Bias Experience Reports
Below find the typical process that occurs when a Bias Experience is received.
- Reports will be taken by the Office of Student Support, Student Success and Support Services, or Human Resources as soon as it is received. ( If the report is submitted electronically, an acknowledgement of the report will follow within 48 hours. )
- Once immediate needs have been addressed by those taking the report, the Bias Experience Support Team Co-chairs will convene a meeting.
- A Bias Experience Support Team member will make contact with the individuals who have reported being affected by the bias experience; provide support, and offer resources and options in consultation with other team members.
- The Bias Experience Support Team will develop and maintain a log of reports that will be updated regularly. This log will be accessible to the entire campus community.
