The Assistant Director for Enrollment Management Communication is a member of the Vice President for Enrollment Management’s senior leadership team and supports Undergraduate and Graduate recruitment efforts through the development of targeted communication campaigns to prospective, admitted, and enrolled students to increase enrollment. The position will have some CRM and Web oversight. Also, in support of these efforts, this position will serve as the liaison with Marketing in designing publications and overall marketing strategies to increase enrollment. The position will also work closely with Academic Departments, the Office of Technology Services, and other departments within the division.

Responsibilities:
Communication and Recruitment Marketing
• The Assistant Director will have a hands-on role in managing, producing, assessing, and providing guidance for all enrollment and recruitment communication —email, print publications, website content, social media, and other online digital marketing efforts.
• Provides leadership to the directors of admission and the AVP in developing and maintaining a comprehensive communication plan for all prospects, applicants, and admitted students.
• Monitors and reports on effectiveness of communication and marketing initiatives.
• Working closely with Marketing, assists in providing brand direction, content development and editing of all communication materials and related projects, working closely with partners to develop/create and execute materials to help meet and increase enrollment.
• With the leadership team, builds and maintains the strategic communication campaigns, adjusting as the market demands and as needed.
• Continual analysis and research of best practice in higher education and enrollment electronic communication practices.
CRM and Web Oversight
• Manages the electronic communication through Salesforce which includes writing copy, assisting with developing targeted and segmented populations and revising throughout the cycle, as necessary.
• Acts as the divisional superuser for the CRM, setting up, managing, and adjusting as needed.
• Working with the operations lead, oversees timely entry of all prospect data into Salesforce ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data.
• Analyzes open rates, click through statistics and overall effectiveness of admissions’ and EM’s email campaigns.
• Maintains content on the admissions website. Includes writing; editing; repurposing and/or posting multiple stories per day; and adding images, graphics, videos, image galleries, or other multimedia elements as needed.
• Analyzes website traffic patterns and usage.
Social Media:
• Provide oversight for admissions’ social media presence.
• Develop a comprehensive social media campaign and compelling content for prospective students and their parents across various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap Chat, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, YouTube, blogs, etc.) that compliments the electronic marketing and print/mail pieces of the division and the University.
• Advise admissions staff on trends and usage within various social media platforms including how to utilize them to recruit prospective students to the university.
• Create and distribute social media of all kinds, including text, photos, photographic slideshows, video, etc.
• Use effective tools for analyzing the performance of social media and related campaigns.
• Support marketing and communication goals and strategies for the Division and its departments.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Marketing, Business, New Media, Public Relations, or other related field
Experience: Four years of related experience in admissions, communications and/or marketing in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: An advanced degree strongly preferred in a related field/discipline.
Experience: Project management experience

• Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, faculty, and other constituencies required.
• Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated self-starter and demonstrated leadership capacity.
• Must have significant proven experience in a senior leadership role in higher education. Must be able to foster positive working relationships with direct reports, departmental colleagues, and university partners.
• Must have demonstrated knowledge of best practices for enrollment.
• Must be organized, able to prioritize workload, and juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Must demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
• Ability to use data to develop and evaluate strategies.
