The Office of Records and Registration provides key support to the University's strategic objectives by assisting with new student recruitment and by providing comprehensive transfer credit evaluation services for students. This position reports to the Associate Registrar and requires a knowledge of transfer credit as it applies to academic progress and degree programs as well as familiarity with student enrollment, registration, and graduation processing. Working directly with ARTSYS as it relates to the Maryland Higher Education Commission transfer requirements for two- and four-year institutions, the incumbent will serve as a liaison between MHEC and the University of Baltimore. By providing timely and accurate evaluations of transfer credit as it applies to general and degree program requirements at the University of Baltimore, this position provides direct support of the University’s enrollment and retention efforts and supports students’ timely progress toward degrees.

Evaluate incoming transcripts for transfer students with respect to University of Baltimore general and major requirements; update appropriate student records relating to transfer credit, course equivalencies, academic level, and missing requirements lists
Maintain updates on ARTSYS with regard to course equivalencies, articulation agreements, and recommended transfer programs; assist with the deployment of electronic receipt of ARTSYS transcripts
Assist in the maintenance and processing of student academic advisement as it relates to transfer credit, and with degree audit during graduation checkout
Assist in training of Admission Office staff with regard to transfer policies, effective use of ARTSYS, and transfer credit as it applies to general and program requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience in administrative staff work. Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree and experience working with the Maryland Higher Education Commission on ARTSYS course equivalencies, articulation agreements, and recommended transfer programs; familiarity with records functions in a student information system (Oracle Campus Solutions preferred).

•Then, only college and university information is required. Click the plus sign to the left of the “Postsecondary Education” link to enter that information.
•For country, enter USA or click the hourglass to select another country.
•You can use the first day of the month wherever dates are required.
•Click the plus sign to the left of "References" to enter two professional references.
•After you enter your education information and references, click “Save,” then click “Next.”
3. How did you find out about us/how did you find out about the job?
•After you enter this information, click “Save,” then click “Next.”
4. Online Questionnaire/Application Questionnaire: Answer the questions requiring a yes or no response. After you answer them, click “Submit.” This leads you to the Submit Online Application page.
