Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Services

Oversee the offices of Enrollment Services including Financial Aid, University Registrar, Enrollment Research and EMSA Technology & Operations.
•Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial aid, registration and academic services in a customer centric fashion.
•Lead EMSA technology – daily operations, major projects and research analytics
•Campus wide leadership on ERP and major projects; ASM member
•Provide knowledgeable leadership and experience for Enrollment Services including the Office of Financial Aid acting as signatory on documents, funds and budget oversight, funds management including scholarship policy, other duties as assigned by the Senior VP-EMSA.
•Manage and liaison for all UB audits regarding EMSA divisions

Provide divisional leadership and strategic direction for the offices of Financial Aid, University Registrar, Enrollment Research and EMSA Technology/Operations.

Provide oversight and supervise the management of the Office of Financial Aid.  Ensure high level of efficiency and customer satisfaction.  Provide guidance to the Director for Enrollment and Financial Services for all aspects of program management

Provide guidance, strategic direction, and supervision for University Registrar to collaborate with academic and administrative units involved in campus-wide retention and student success and degree completion initiatives.

Collaborate with VP-Information Systems and ASM Committee leaders to provide campus wide leadership on EIS major projects.  Represent the interests of EMSA; advocate and advance mission-critical project.

Provide guidance, strategic direction and supervision for the Director of EMSA Technology and his Enrollment Research team.  Ensure the information and analysis needs of leadership are met.  Triage ad hoc information requests from across campus.  Comprehensive management and leadership of EMSA Technology and Operations.  Ensure maximized use of PeopleSoft functionality.  Evaluate integrated systems to determine future direction and priority for Enrollment and Financial Aid Services.

Provide leadership for Enrollment Services on all internal and external audit reviews.  Liaison with auditors.  Prepare responses.  Provide oversight during onsite auditor visits.  Ensure ongoing compliance with audit issues.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:  Master’s Degree

Experience:   10 years’ experience including 5-7 years in a leadership role in an Office of Financial Aid and/or Record's and Registration.

3-5 years’ experience with integrated student services enterprise systems

Preferred Experience:

One-stop shop experience
PeopleSoft experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Title IV financial aid rules and regulations
Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
Ability to multi-task and to direct a diverse staff in a multitude of project and initiatives
Ability to manage several offices and maintain strong integration of services and systems
Ability to oversee multiple audits and to maintain compliance
