04/01/2026University of Baltimore Unveils Bold New Mascot: Meet R.L. Bee! The University is changing its bee mascot to R.L. Bee, the bee sculpture from the Samuel G. Rose collection that is on display in the RLB Library courtyard. The change will take effect April 1. A large, detailed sculpture of a honeybee perched atop a black pedestal.
