Description:

The University of Baltimore School of Law has launched an exciting new leadership initiative: Women Lawyers as Leaders -- bringing together law students, young alumni, and dynamic women leaders to encourage women lawyers to take control of their careers by openly discussing the challenges they face both at home and at work, and by cultivating their leadership skills through education, peer support, and mentoring. This event is invitation only.

Program Details

Join your peers, women leaders young and more experienced, for camaraderie, encouragement, and professional development.

Participants will meet for lunch the second Tuesday of the month (except August and December).

Each month, a different chapter from Sheryl Sandburg's new book, Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead, will be selected to help frame the topic for a short presentation followed by facilitated small group discussion. Participants will also be divided into smaller, diverse groups of 12-15 to facilitate relationship building.

The kick-off lunch will be held on Tuesday, June 11, noon to 1 p.m. in the new John and Frances Angelos Law Center.

Let's work together to ensure the next generation of women lawyers are able, in Sheryl Sandburg's words, "to step into leadership roles in greater numbers, and to do so with full personal and family lives, just like their male counterparts."
