Gamers of all kinds and all skill levels are invited to both design and test drive a variety of games at the 2015 Global Game Jam, locally hosted on Jan. 23-25 by UB at The Universities at Shady Grove's Simulation and Digital Entertainment program.
The event, part of a worldwide "hackathon" focused on game development and demonstrations, will take place at The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) campus, in Building III Room 2219, located at 9630 Gudelsky Drive in Rockville, MD. The UB at USG Game Jam runs continuously starting at 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25.
Participation in USG's Global Game Jam is free, but registration is required. Those who participate can create a game, solo or as part of a team, or just come to observe the game development process. No experience is necessary—just a desire to make a cool game!
