APA Style Central Resource Workshop

When:
Location:
Langsdale Library: Turner Learning Commons, third floor
Room:
319
Description:

Langsdale Library subscribes to APA Style Central, a resource created by the American Psychological Association that includes interactive tutorials for learning about APA citations, a citation generator, and research paper templates. Discover how to make the most of this resource, both for yourself and your students. During this session, two training specialists from APA will provide an overview of using APA Style CENTRAL to produce papers and manuscripts, including tools for review of work in progress and collaborative writing. The trainers will also discuss how to incorporate APA Style CENTRAL into your teaching workflow. You will learn more about the Research Lab Book tools, explore video tutorials and sample references, and take a closer look at other ways APA Style CENTRAL can support instruction.

If you'd like to follow along or try out the tools during the session, please bring a laptop or tablet (the library also has laptops available for check out). It's also strongly recommended you create an account within APA Style Central ahead of time, which allows you to create and save papers and citations.

Free coffee and snacks will be provided. An RSVP is required; space is limited.
