The Spring 2018 College of Public Affairs Dean’s Speaker Series welcomes guest speaker Mary Guy, professor of public administration at the University of Colorado Denver.

In order for governing to work, citizens must feel good about government and those who govern. As important as numerical values are for measuring public service outcomes, of greater importance is an appreciation for the emotive relationship between citizen and state. Prof. Guy will present on this topic, followed by audience Q&A.

About the speaker...

Mary E. Guy is a professor of public administration at the University of Colorado Denver. Her research and teaching interests focus on the human processes involved in public service delivery. She is currently leading a team of researchers who are investigating the everyday work experience of public servants around the globe. Professor Guy is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, past president of the American Society for Public Administration, and 2018 recipient of the Dwight Waldo Award.
