Poetry Reading and Open Mic Series

When:
Location:
1420 Maryland Ave.
Room:
BL 412
Description:

Whether you are a poet yourself or just a poetry lover, you won't want to miss this monthly event series. Hosted in the newly refurbished University of Baltimore's Bogomolny Library event space overlooking the Station North arts district, this is a great chance to catch local poets from both the UB and Baltimore community that you may not have had the chance to see perform—followed by a chance for anyone in the audience to step up and try their hand.

Poetry is no different than any other art form—there is a performative aspect that requires practice, development, and support. This new series is intended to provide all of that, while also creating a space in which up and coming artists can read alongside more seasoned poets, network, and gain valuable experience in front of an audience.

This series will take place on the first Thursday of every month, during the fall and spring semesters, and will feature three poets followed by an open mic. For more information, or if you are interested in reading, please use the contact information provided below.
