Pitch for A Million (line of credit)
Apply by 3 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2022!
Aspiring UBalt student and alumni entrepreneurs who are interested in addressing critical development needs within Baltimore’s middle-market neighborhoods will go through a 10-week mentoring program with Baltimore-area seasoned professionals. Students will identity a Baltimore City neighborhood, create a project, complete a development plan and prepare an application for financing. The winning proposal will receive underwriting for the necessary financing up to $1 million in a real estate development loan from Baltimore Community Lending.
>>Eligibility
Any UBalt student or alumnus may apply but all applicants should have completed at least 2 courses in the Real Estate and Economic Development program or have equivalent qualifications. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Participating fellows will be paid at least $1,000 during the process. A series of curated trainings with local experts in the field and community tours for the students will start in February 2022 and be completed by May 2022. The final pitch competition date is tentatively scheduled for June 2022. - Contact Name:
