The University of Baltimore will welcome Artscape, the nation's largest public arts festival, to midtown Baltimore on Sept. 22-24. This is the first year for the festival since 2019.
Among Artscape's many highlights will be Kidscape, which will take place on UBalt's Gordon Plaza (corner of Mt. Royal Avenue and Maryland Avenue) on Saturday, Sept. 23, beginning at 11 a.m.
"Kidscape will be a haven of creativity and wonder for children aged 4 to 12," Artscape says on their website. "[T]he Kidscape Mainstage will come alive with captivating performances."
This year, because of the timing and impact of Artscape, UBalt will move to the online environment for instruction and university services. Beginning Thursday, Sept. 21 through Monday, Sept. 25, the physical campus will be closed. The public will not be permitted to enter campus buildings; students, faculty and staff will not have access to UBalt facilities. Essential personnel will report as scheduled.
