Lessons From Legends in Accounting

On March 28, 2013 Tom Hood, CEO of Maryland Associations CPAs (MACPA) will share his stories of the accounting industry.

The event will take place on March 28th in the Thumel Business Center's Auditorium (11 W. Mt. Royal Ave., Baltimore, MD 21201) from 6-8 p.m.

About Tom Hood:

Tom Hood has been named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in the CPA profession according to Accounting Today Magazine and under his leadership in helping CPAs “shape their future” through his work at the Maryland Association of CPAs and the Business Learning Institute, a center for the development of leadership and strategic thinking skills for
CPAs.

In addition to his history as an association executive and CEO, Hood has experience as a high level executive in industry as past treasurer and CFO of Bryn Awel Corporation, a privately owned $75 million highway construction company.

He is a graduate of Loyola College (B.A. in Accounting) and has a Master’s in Finance (Real Estate) from Johns Hopkins University and a Master’s equivalent in Information Systems from the University of Baltimore. He also obtained the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) certification and the Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification from the AICPA.
