The University of Baltimore and the Enoch Pratt Free Library are launching a new author speaker series in November called Pratt Library & UB Live! The Pratt's Central Library will be undergoing a nearly four-year renovation and restoration project, and during this period of improvements, the two institutions will partner to host award-winning and best-selling authors.
"The Pratt Library is one of Baltimore's great institutions, and this series is just one example of what makes them so important to our communities," said UB President Kurt L. Schmoke. "The University of Baltimore is delighted to assist the library while it undergoes these renovations, and we look forward to lively and inspiring conversations from each of the visiting authors."
"This is the perfect partnership of two wonderful Baltimore institutions," said Carla D. Hayden, chief executive officer of the Enoch Pratt Free Library. "The University of Baltimore is a great venue to continue our successful speaker series while we are going through this multi-year restoration project. We will be presenting a diverse group of authors that students and the public will enjoy for free."
