The University of Baltimore's Community Service Day will take place on Friday, April 22. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends will visit locations across the city, working toward a cleaner, greener Baltimore. Sign ups are now being accepted.
Every year since 2002, UB's Rosenberg Center for Student Involvement has brought together hundreds of UB community members to volunteer a day of their time, creating positive change in neighborhoods throughout metropolitan Baltimore. Volunteer groups travel to more than a dozen service sites, assist with vital projects of all kinds, and engage in meaningful reflection about their experience to develop opportunities to work toward improving their own communities.
This year's event is also Earth Day, so many of the Community Service Day's 16 sites will emphasize sustainability and the environment.
Check-ins will be available on April 22 from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Gordon Plaza.
Community Service Day is organized by BeMore, UB's leadership and community engagement program.
