Angela Rodgers-Koukoui, archival technician in the University of Baltimore's Langsdale Library, will speak on WYPR on Thursday, July 14 about the importance of preserving local history—including that of last year's civil unrest. Her commentary will air on the station at 4:45 p.m.
Rodgers-Koukoui will discuss the importance of preserving city history. She has worked on numerous archival projects, such as the curation of materials from the Baltimore Cultural Arts program in the 1970s and '80s—a program in which she was involved first-hand—and now she is part of an effort to preserve the records of Baltimore's civil unrest from last year.
