U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Rhett Hernandez, a retired expert on cybersecurity, will discuss the business threats and opportunities of this looming global issue as a guest of the University of Baltimore's Center for Digital Communication, Commerce and Culture, and the Merrick School of Business and its Merrick Engages speaker series on Monday, Nov. 7. The event will take place at 5:30 p.m. on the fifth floor of the UB Student Center, 21 W. Mt. Royal Ave. It is free and open to the public, although an R.S.V.P. is required. Hernandez is among the nation's pre-eminent experts on cybersecurity and is chair of the U.S. Army Cyber Institute at West Point. He also consults with, and is on the board of, a number of cybersecurity firms. Among his career achievements is launching and commanding the U.S. Army Cyber Command.
In this interactive forum, Hernandez will delve into how cybersecurity is both a business threat and an opportunity. He will share his vast experience in the field, and open the floor to audience questions.
