Charles Tiefer, professor in the University of Baltimore School of Law and former solicitor and deputy general counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives, tells McClatchy DC that the new presidential administration can undo some of its predecessors' work quickly—but other goals will take years of coalition building to achieve.
"[Trump] can make a big difference at the outset of his administration, but it will take him years and support from dubious congressional factions and allies overseas to get a lot of other things done," Tiefer says.
