Eusebio Scornavacca, the Parsons Professor of Digital Innovation and director of the University of Baltimore's Center for Digital Communication, Commerce and Culture (CD3C) has been invited to speak at a conference focused on digital transformation on Wednesday, June 13. The event aims to help professional developing an understanding of how new digital technologies can be leveraged to dramatically improve performance and organizations' business models.
BithGroup Technologies—a multi state-certified Minority Business Enterprise IT solutions company headquartered in Baltimore, will host the all-day conference, Executive Forum for Transforming Businesses, at the University of Baltimore. The event, open to the public, will bring together business leaders and industry experts to explore what it takes to get business to the next level through digital transformation. In addition to the University of Baltimore, the conference is receiving support from the State of Maryland Department of Commerce, ClearBlade, DarkTrace and Morgan State University.

According to Prof. Scornavacca, who also serves as an associate professor of information systems in the Merrick School of Business and is a well-recognized scholar on mobile information systems and digital innovation, the main challenge organizations face today is creating value from the adoption of new digital technologies. His presentation at the forum will focus on "The New Business Digital Ecosystem."
Prof. Scornavacca's research has demonstrated that digital technologies are disrupting a variety of industries across the globe and rapidly changing the portfolio of organizational capabilities needed to thrive in the digital economy.

The event will review a number of important issues such as the development of new digital business ecosystem; disruptive technologies; how digital transformation will be critical for business success; measuring the value of digital transformation; and how to empower customers and employees through digital innovation.
Proceeds of the event will benefit the University of Baltimore's Center for Digital Communication, Commerce and Culture and provide scholarships for students.
