Maryland Historical Society's Second Sunday Event Features Virtual-Reality Ships Created by University of Baltimore GameLab Students

The University of Baltimore GameLab and the Maryland Historical Society are partnering to present a virtual reality exhibition of some of Maryland's most famous ships as the MHS Free Family Second Sunday Drop In continues on Sunday, Feb. 10, from 1-4 p.m. The event, to be held at the MHS home at 201 W. Monument St., is free and open to the public. No advance registration is required.
The virtual 3-D models, created by students working in UB's GameLab, involve the mapping of architectural drawings to a point-by-point 3-D simulation of how the ships looked, inside and out.
