Eighteen students graduating from the University of Baltimore's MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts program will present their thesis projects—books they wrote, designed and produced—on Saturday, May 8, during the final event in the University of Baltimore's 2021 Spring Reading Series. The Book Festival and Performance will take place online beginning at 2 p.m. It is free and open to the public. An R.S.V.P. is requested; scroll down for details.
Students will read selections from their books, which include works of poetry, short fiction, and memoir. The event, to be held live online and later made available on UBalt's YouTube channel, also will delve into the writing and bookmaking process. Students' books will be available for sale through their websites, and MFA faculty will be on hand to celebrate the class and lead a discussion about the experience of creating a book from start to finish.
More details about the event and the students' readings will be announced shortly.
Those who R.S.V.P. will be sent a link to the event. Click here to R.S.V.P.
