Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott will appear in The University of Baltimore's next "Voices of Public Services" webinar on Wednesday, May 4 at 4 p.m. As the University marks Public Service Recognition Week, this conversation, part of the University's "Voices of Public Service" series, will enlighten participants about the importance of meeting citizens' needs. The webinar is free and open to the public. Attendance details are listed below.
Brandon Scott was elected mayor of Baltimore in 2020. He started his political career in Baltimore as a member of the City Council, taking office in 2011 when he was 27, making him one of the youngest people ever elected to serve on the council.
"Voices of Public Service" is a monthly series that gives UBalt students an opportunity to learn about public service careers from seasoned professionals. Guest speakers include government and nonprofit leaders, elected officials, and business leaders who have made a civic contribution to society. Students from all majors and programs are welcome to attend.
The series is sponsored by the College of Public Affairs, the Schaefer Center for Public Policy and the Career and Internship Center.
