The University of Baltimore's Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation's "Startup Maryland Day" Celebration, set for Thursday, Sept. 29, will offer opportunities to meet, learn from, and cheer on some of the area's most promising and successful business leaders. Startup Maryland's "Pitch Across Maryland" bus tour will stop by the UBalt campus that day, between 2 and 6 p.m., for an afternoon of events, including information sessions and a business pitch showcase. It will be held in the center's offices in Room 104 of the William H. Thumel Sr. Business Center (home of UBalt's Merrick School of Business), 11 W. Mt. Royal Ave. The event is free and open to the public; an R.S.V.P. (details below) is required.
Now in its 10th year, Startup Maryland's "Pitch Across Maryland" bus tour is part of a celebration and recognition of all things entrepreneurial at The University of Baltimore. Entrepreneurs can join workshops, receive one-on-one coaching, attend a startup boot camp, and engage in networking opportunities. There is something for anyone looking to join Baltimore's growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation's "Startup Maryland Day" will feature:
- how-to sessions on topics important to entrepreneurs and founders, such as angel investing 101 and support for minority and women entrepreneurs;
- the chance to record your pitch on the "STRT1UP Road Show" bus;
- "office hours" with UBalt's mentors and entrepreneurs-in-residence;
- meeting and mingling with investors, business leaders, and other like-minded people;
Space is limited. R.S.V.P. by noon on Sept. 28.
