In partnership with the 6th Branch, and in recognition of civil rights acolyte Martin Luther King Jr., The University of Baltimore is inviting the community to be part of its annual New Year's tradition—the MLK Day of Service—on Monday, Jan. 20. UBalt students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the public are invited to meet at 1500 N. Bethel St. at 8:30 a.m. on that day for a neighborhood clean-up for the Oliver Community. The event will continue until 1 p.m., and will include landscaping, clearing debris, and minor demolition work. Participants are advised to dress for chilly weather. Food and beverages will be available.
