As an accounting major, you should seriously consider joining. In addition to the value from attending professional meetings with speakers from the accounting, finance, and information systems community, there is a tremendous opportunity to network with potential employers for accounting internships and full-time employment after graduation. Being able to place on your resume that you were an active member or officer in Beta Alpha Psi is important as well. Those employers who do not come to campus to interview, as well as those that do, use Beta Alpha Psi membership as a prescreening criteria to select those applicants which they want to interview.
