Murray M. Dalziel, dean of the Merrick School of Business, will host a private reception for donors, friends, and students who supported the 2016 Service Learning Course, "Knowledge that Works in Asia: Empowering Women for Entrepreneurship."

Hear from our students who will have just returned from a remote area of Negros Island, Philippines. The will share stories on how they applied their knowledge to address the elimination of global poverty.

Students will share their Learning to Livelihood projects with you, demonstrating how they assisted Professor Emerita Christine Nielsen and her organization, NEW Pathways to Enterprise, in developing sustainable microenterprises for extremely poor women and their families.

Student participation in this program was made possible through travel grants from the UB Fund for Excellence and the Wright Global Scholars program.
