Strong City Baltimore will host a visibility table in the Student Center lobby on Thursday, April 28 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Strong City Baltimore serves as the VISTA Project Sponsor to more than 25 nonprofits, government, and community organizations throughout Baltimore City and Maryland. Strong City provides support to the site and the VISTA member throughout the year, including recruitment, training, professional development opportunities, and resources. Their mission is to build and strengthen neighborhoods and people, and one of the many ways we do that is through our VISTA program.
Strong City's VISTA program has several openings for AmeriCorps VISTA positions to begin service this July. AmeriCorps VISTA is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about service looking to transition careers, and for recent grads to gain hands-on professional experience while working to eradicate poverty in America! VISTAs, or Volunteers in Service to America, commit a year of their lives to build capacity for a nonprofit, community, or government organization and create sustainable change.
