Overview

Civil Justice, Inc., with volunteer attorneys supplied by the Maryland State Bar Association (“MSBA”), is offering CEI students and recent alumni a unique opportunity to obtain FREE legal guidance and support during this one-day clinic.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Clinic is to provide brief legal information and confidential advice to CEI students or recent alumni who are developing or have started operating a small business, through meeting one-on-one with an experienced business law attorney.  The volunteer attorneys are all leaders of the MSBA Business Law Section. 

Subject Matters of Advice:

The Clinic will offer brief legal advice in areas such as:

  • business formation
  • contract review
  • real estate leasing
  • business acquisitions
  • intellectual property
  • permitting
  • licensing. 

Each counseling session will be for a maximum of 60 minutes, and after the session, the Clinic plans to provide you with a confidential memorandum describing the advice provided.

If you wish to obtain this free service, please complete the Small Business Legal Clinic Sign-Up Form.  You must sign up by no later than Wednesday, Oct. 4, so we can properly match you with an attorney who can assist you.  After you complete the form, someone from Civil Justice, Inc. will contact you.
