CANCELED: Making Government Work for the People: The Legacy of William Donald Schaefer

Student Center - Wright Theater

The Schaefer Center for Public Policy in the College of Public Affairs proudly presents this inaugural Schaefer Center Forum.

This event has been canceled due to Hurricane Sandy and will be rescheduled for a later date.

William Donald Schaefer, Baltimore's iconic former mayor and former Maryland governor and comptroller, left behind an enduring legacy--a life of tireless public service and of championing for Baltimore and its people.

Join us for a panel discussion, moderated by WYPR's Fraser Smith, that will explore Schaefer's legacy and the lessons to be learned from his approach to public service.

Panel members include Tony Hawkins, Sandy Hillman, Lainey Lebow Sachs and Mark Wasserman.

The New Member Induction Ceremony for the Maryland Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration will follow the panel discussion.

Reception: 5:30-6:15 p.m.
Panel: 6:15-9 p.m.
