Upper-Division Writing Placement Test
- Learning Commons
By your second registration at UB, you should have already taken your Upper-division Writing Placement Test to ensure timely graduation and to enhance your academic performance in subsequent courses. In order to register for Advanced Expository Writing (WRIT 300)—an upper-division general education writing course required of all majors—you must either pass Practicum in Writing (WRIT 200) or score a 300 on the Upper-division Writing Placement Test.
The test, which can only be taken once, is administered by the Achievement and Learning Center by appointment only weekdays from October 28 through December 6, and on three Saturdays: October 19, November 16, and January 11.
You must R.S.V.P. for this test below (if there is no R.S.V.P. field below, then this section is full—please try another date). Be sure to arrive a few minutes before the start time. Late arrivals will not be admitted. Bring a photo ID and a pen or pencil to the specified testing location.
