Over the past few decades, the U.S. has seen a spike in sprawl. Forests and other undeveloped land have fallen victim to and increase of people moving from urban to rural areas. About the speaker: David Thaler is a fellow of both the American Society of Civil Engineers and the National
Society of Professional Engineers. He is also a surveyor, land planner and land use consultant. His firm, D.S. Thaler & Associates, Inc., has designed hundreds of communities in the Mid-Atlantic region.
