UB School of Law hosts the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit

On Feb. 4, the University of Baltimore School of Law becomes a federal courtroom. Don’t miss the chance to sit front and center. Doors open at 9:15 a.m. and Dean Ronald Weich will give an introduction at 9:45 a.m. Cases will be heard 10 a.m.-noon.
The court will hear the following cases:
Costantine v. C.F.M. Distributing Co.
The court will examine whether the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office properly denied registration to a proposed trademark.
Fedmet Resources Corp. v. U.S.
The court will examine whether the U.S. Department of Commerce properly imposed antidumping duties on Fedmet’s products.
Pacific Scientific Energetic v. Ensign-Bickford Aerospace
The court will examine patent law issues.
PATO Stone Lion Capital Partners v. Lion Capital
The court will examine whether the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office properly denied registration to a proposed trademark.
During this event, the Moot Courtroom will serve as a federal courtroom and all relevant rules will apply. Courtroom decorum guidelines can be found at www.cafc.uscourts.gov.
