Description:

On Monday, October 13, 2014, the Baltimore Bar Foundation, Inc., and the Monumental City Bar Foundation, Inc., will host a Joint Symposium on Diversity, "Race and Gender: Embracing Diversity in the Legal Profession” at the University of Baltimore School of Law in the new John and Frances Angelos Law Center.

The day-long program will feature a penetrating examination of diversity and inclusiveness in the practice of law, addressing current status and emerging trends, as seen from the perspectives of local and specialty bar association presidents, managing/senior partners of law firms, and general counsel of nationally prominent corporations doing business in the Baltimore Metropolitan area. Panels will be moderated by well-known media personalities, attorneys, and jurists. The Hon. Harold Ford Jr., a nationally-recognized political figure, will present the keynote address. The day will conclude with a VIP reception where symposium attendees will mingle and exchange ideas with panelists, moderators and guest speakers as they begin to build on what they have learned.
